Missionaries in Kenya
Paul and Donna Tocco, founders of Word Ablaze Ministries, have been missionaries to Kenya for 20 years and have been World Missions and Evangelism as affiliated missionaries for more than 10 years. Originally from Pennsylvania, U.S.A., the Tocco family moved to Kenya with their two children, Ashley and Jason in 1993 and later adopted Josiah in 2001, who presently lives with them.
Paul and Donna both hold a BA in Theology and are founder of Word Ablaze Bible Institute in Nakuru Kenya where they presently reside. In 1993, they responded to the call of God to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation,”(Mark 16:15) and went to Kenya East Africa. After traveling extensively throughout East Africa, holding crusades and seeing thousands come the Christ, they saw that the emerging Church was in evident need of help in the area of discipleship and training for the pastors and church leaders. In 2005, Word Ablaze Bible Institute was born in answer to God’s Word to “Go and make disciples of all nations.”(Matthew 28:19)
Presently, Paul and Donna teach and train pastors and leaders at Word Ablaze Bible Institute. They host a variety of students that come from different denominations and tribal backgrounds, who come from Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Congo, and Sudan. They offer Biblical studies in both English and Kiswahili. They are involved in many other outreaches including, teaching seminars, conferences, community development, and caring for the poor.
